AI Developer (Spec-Driven)

AI Developer (Spec-Driven)

Senior

Full-time · Hybrid (Madrid) · Delivery engineering

Raise the bar on spec-driven delivery at Thinkia: specify at capability and feature level under ambiguity, define the guardrails that make AI generation safe, and mentor the team in the art of specifying and reviewing. You decide what AI should and shouldn't do.

What you'll do

  • Specify capabilities and features at a high level of abstraction — with requirements, acceptance criteria and edge cases others can execute.
  • Define patterns, ADRs and standards, and build the SDLC gates and health checks, applying severities (Blocker / Warning / Suggestion).
  • Make architecture decisions and decide where to lean on agents and where human judgment is non-negotiable.
  • Mentor junior profiles on how to specify well, review AI output and develop architectural taste.
  • Guarantee the security and quality of generated software, closing the gaps no agent solves alone.

What we look for

  • A track record building production software with solid architecture, patterns and trade-offs (we measure judgment, not years).
  • Real command of AI-assisted development: you decompose problems, give an agent the right context and iterate to a reliable result.
  • Judgment under ambiguity: you turn a fuzzy problem into an executable spec and know when to stop.
  • Mentoring ability: you make those around you better and raise the team's standard.
  • A quality and security mindset: testing, verification and review are part of your definition of "done".

Nice to have

  • Experience defining engineering processes or methodologies in scaling teams.
  • Background in regulated or demanding domains (security, fintech, health) where rigor isn't optional.
  • Contributions to the technical community: talks, articles, open-source or internal tooling.

How we measure success

  • The team ships faster and with fewer defects thanks to the specs and guardrails you define.
  • The juniors you mentor visibly progress in their ability to specify and review.
  • Your architecture decisions age well: few regrets, little avoidable debt.

Interested in one of these roles? Let's talk.

Tell us what you've built and how you think. We care more about a real case — something you shipped, a problem you disambiguated, code you reviewed — than a cover letter. Pick the profile and level, share your LinkedIn, and attach your CV if you'd like.
